An unusual event – yes it is the movies! Sitting in the plush State Theatre is a terrific experience, and accompanied with a fabulous movie – well there’s a great night out! Sipping on a mug of tea the Todd Haynes production that delves into some of the persona’s of Bob Dylan, and at the same time embracing the complexity of creating extraordinary lyrics that encompassed generations, burst onto the screen and required constant vigilance from the first frame. The visual feast is very much a tantalising journey through the eyes of the adoring or disgusted public, the narrow minded media, the difficulties of retaining a sense of self in a very public life and perhaps through the eyes of the musician himself.
