Burnie Print Prize
exhibitions :: posted on April 3rd, 2009

On Monday I travelled with a group from Tafe to Burnie to have a look at the Burnie Print Prize. This was a fairly big undertaking as it is a long way to Burnie and back in a day, but it was worth it. Seeing the prints live is quite often a big surprise, either in scale or colour or the paper or just how they are hung.

The Burnie Regional Art Gallery is a really good space for showing work with plenty of room to stand back and some separate rooms as well. The lighting was good and unobtrusive, so overall it was a good trip to make and if you are in the area it is well worth having a look at the show. It continues until the 10th of May at the Burnie Civic Centre Precinct, Wilmot Street.
