Ross Langdon – Architecture

Over the past few months – or more- Ross has been busy working with his team on a competition entry for a new concert hall and library in Bodo, Norway. They were finalists in the competition and personally I think the design and superb detail of work they submitted was the winner!

Ross had the model cast in Bronze at the historic Whitechapel Bell Foundry where Big Ben was cast in 1858. It is quite a superb piece of work.
Ross is now working in Tromso, Norway, where he has been enjoying a break from the busy London life and the qualities that a small city has to offer. After the intensity of working on the Bodo competition which consumed endless hours including several all night stints, perhaps a coffee break would be good?
Congratulations on your superb entry – a project to be proud of!

Linden,
Ross Langdon’s design for concert hall and library at Bodo looks like a place for me to go to. I don’t know how that image of the building on the site was made but it has a scale where I could walk up to the top of the building on my own two legs. And all those angles that are not parallel nor right angles make it sooo attractive. I am a part of nature and that group of buildings looks like a part of my nature. Very exciting! Will he keep the model? That looks fab too.

Hi Noni,
I agree – it is a building that has its heart in natural lines. Did you follow the links? The underlined words indicate a link that will take you to more images. I’m hoping that he gets to keep the model too! I would love to see that in the flesh…
