Ochre lithograph
my art, prints :: posted on February 20th, 2009

I haven’t put many posts up lately as I have been busy reworking prints and finding ways to put work together for my final submission. As well as writing and rewriting the paper that is!
So as I have been going through the files I come across things I have done out of interest or as an experiment. Here I was testing the three different ochre colours I have as a reduction lithograph. Yellow, pink and red layers were created by printing the whole image, then removing some detail and re-etching before printing a different colour. This means that some spots have the three layers of colour on top of each other, and some have just the one.
Anyway, it was an interesting test of the ink and I do love the earthy feel of the ochre.
