seaweed on the rock

We managed to escape the city for a few hours today and walk along the Tessellated Pavement at Eaglehawk Neck. I had my trusty camera phone…. still trying to fix the other so lets not go there…..

In parts the formation is so regular that it has a manufactured appearance rather than being gradually eroded by the natural elements.

Being low tide the seaweed and mollusces were exposed (like my lily white feet) to the harsh afternoon sun - the hottest we’ve had this spring so far! So hot in fact, that before I left the city I managed to put several layers of paint on a door - unheard of! Happy days…
