Tulip Festival

Yesterday was Tulip Festival day at the Botanical Gardens. Abi and I joined the masses of people enjoying the sunshine and yummy food on offer amongst the stunning displays of tulips and other flowers in the gardens.




The last photo is the Tasmanian Native Laurel which is one of my favourite local flowers.

Yes they are such a relief aren’t they! We have a strong wind in spring that makes everyone a bit on edge, so the beauty of the flowers bursting open is a counter balance to calm the jaded nerves. Autumn colours are so warm and friendly though…
