Exchange Prints

Each year I like to participate in a few print exchanges. It happens like this… firstly I sign up with a group who want to do an exchange, which for me is through the internet. Then a theme is chosen, or sometimes there is a specific theme for the exchange prior to signing up. Then we are given the specifics of the print - size etc., and the number of prints required which is usually the number of people in the exchange plus one or two for the archives. Then we go on our merry way to print, being mindful of the deadline. The prints are then bundled up with details of the print method and story behind it and sent off to the co-ordinators address, wherever in the world that may be. This wonderful person then collates them all so that each of us receives one print of each persons in the exchange. It is a truly rewarding way to engage with art globally and with artists in a very friendly community!
