Renata and Ardie

There is an exhibition on at Entrepot at the moment with some eye catching work. Renata Carmichael has a colleciton of furniture on show following her graduation last year. She has her quirky sense of humour on show as well, with the furniture being constructed using sculpted animals to hold up shelves etc. Renata adds to the appeal with a little trail of animals at various stages of development with a hand written note accompanying to explain each step of the process. Very entertaining and definately 'talking' pieces in the home.
In the smaller space is the work of Ardie Larsen who has just started into his university career. His work is a number of abstract acrylic paintings. I'll try to pop in for a couple of photos later this week!
