New Year!

Finally 2008 – gee wizz that year dragged on didn’t it? This year is apparently shaping up to be a full and busy one, but of course you never really know how things will pan out. But of course this is the time to put on the various hats and do some organising in the long term planner. So here are a few notes to self off the top of my head…
- Printmaker Linden
- exhibition in May at Sidespace – group of four women based on a journey we are doing mid-January
- finish the MFA – now that would be fabulous! softly aiming at mid-year, but due to techincal hold-ups at uni it looks like the end of 2008.
- participate in several international print exchanges – they keep me sane
- money, I need money – apply for funding, it must be new project time in the wind? yes I think so…
- seek out some exhibition opportunities – space for a solo would be perfect!
- create a more functional working space at home – need some more equipment
- have fun with printmaking
- Traveller Linden
- exhibition excursion and research excursions to Tasmanian locations
- Melbourne – visit my big brother – finally
- Alice Springs – mid year visit to my mum – some excursions planned there
- Queensland again
- House Linden
- garden fence – big job, but wow what a difference that will make!
- shelving and cupboards for more efficient work areas
- big garden plans, which keeps me sane too
- finish that step and patio area
- paint, paint, paint – one bathroom, one bedroom
- What about me? Linden
- get back into the pool – despite my dislike for pool water – it seems the best solution for restoring health and healing the whiplash and tendon injuries
- write – MFA paper, start transcribing Dad’s war dairies, letters, more of them, poems or attempts at poems
- listen to more music

And don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.
